Morning
October 5, 2006Now, I think I’ll look back to the gang up here as a pretty memorable bunch. I’ll think of them all together, even though they’ve left and they’re still leaving in pieces. The world feels a little smaller, though, now that I have friends overseas and in new, big cities.
A grandma almost cried this morning because she liked her pictures so much. Not that I had much to do with it, she likes her grandkids, but it was great to be part of it anyways.
The sunrise was nuts this morning, hot neon like the crayon colors.
Uncle Jon and cousin Jennifer are visiting today, just a short, unexpected hop to the island. Cool!
In America
October 4, 2006I watched In America last night, and it rained and thundered outside. It was pretty nice.
Goofs
September 29, 2006Hey
September 28, 2006The job continues to be pretty cool. Things are going well and we’re keeping busy enough.
A woman who used to work here left a big box of her fancy clothes when she left, and doesn’t want them anymore, and she’s just my size, so I have a few new fancy-type things to wear.
Tomorrow is supposed to be sunny. I’m riding the ferry & doing errands on the mainland before work!
People are planning to come, like: Dad this weekend. Ian & Laura, John & Kellie, Grandparents, mom & sister, eventually.
Time is winding down, already. Just a month left.
Yes!
From Friday
September 24, 2006These are from Friday, the last day of sunshine. Since then, it’s been raining pretty consistently.
I had a day off, and:
Rolled out of bed onto my bike and down the hill.
Read the news and National Geographics on the lawn by the docks all morning, then migrated to a coffee shop.
Painted and drew a picture.
Rode my bike to the West Bluff, and read a book in the woods. It was like being in a treehouse, because I was in the woods on a cliff, on some wooden steps high in the trees.
Rode downtown, to get real food. Ate tasty fish on the beach while talking to my cousin, Brandy for a while.
Took pictures:

I like this one, because it has nice, bright colors and texture. Green, white and blue are staple, awesome colors. It’s such a rich, “stay-out” kind of image. No photoshopping, but I did crank up the Cyan & Magenta a little when I printed these.

You don’t know me, but I’d like to build us a house in the trees.

I may have a problem, here.
Is there a support group for people who take too many pictures of themselves?
Foreign Sister
September 22, 2006Someone pointed out that I look like a Mexican’s sister. Some guy in the cafeteria. He does kind of look like Joel, a little.
Then someone else said I look like Renato’s sister. He’s a Romanian guy that works in the lab.
Later on tonight, guests in the parlor said I looked like a little boy’s sister. They even took my picture with the little boy, and asked if I was Greek.
